| Tuna Feathers with an Attitude We all love Tuna Feathers. They tend to attract every pelagic species roaming the oceans, and they happen to be the favorite of all tuna species. They produce fish even in the most difficult conditions. During an overseas buying trip, I came across a new, realistic, weighted (2.6 oz) lure-head that attracted my attention. I picked up a few and brought them back home to try. That was last season and the lures performed flawlessly. Because of the weighted head, they tend to track straight and do not jump off the water at the slightest change of wave action, direction or speed. I remember putting out the first lure, a green/yellow. It was no further than 15 ft. from the boat when a nice 40 lb. bull ‘phin came up and nabbed it. I knew then we had a sure winner. The feathers on our Fish Head Tuna Feathers are available in seven different color combinations. You can order them naked and rig them yourself or have one of our store captains do it for you. The lures sell regularly at our store and Web site for $10 each. For a limited time, we are offering one free for every four you buy, PLUS we will ship them free. Our standard rigging for these is a 7/0 premium J hook and 10 ft. 50 lb. mono leader. The rigging is regularly $12, but we are offering rigging for $8 per lure during this sale. We can also do fluorocarbon for an extra 5 bucks. You will be very happy with the quality of the rigging, but please allow two extra days for processing of your order. (Can’t rush perfection.) Several of our customers use these Tuna Feathers as skirts with ballyhoos and like the way the weight adds to the ballyhoo's swim. And, of course, they make the ballyhoo last longer.
